I was sent several emails and I did not receive them. Where have they gone?
If you have been sent an email from one or more persons and have never received it there could be several reasons.
One of the most popular reasons is that the email being sent to you has been marked by our spam filters as spam.
We would recommend that you "whitelist" the sender which allows the incoming email to bypass our spam filtering and you should receive the email.
I have whitelisted the sender in my address book but still don't receive the email.
If you have already whitelisted the sender in your online address book, then we would need to investigate the problem because there could be another issue,
We will need to check our server logs to see if a connection was actually made by the senders email server.
Every connection attempt made to our email server is logged and those logs contain quite a bit of information.
You need to send us the following information in order for us to investigate.
1) The email address of the sender
2) Your email address
3) The date the email was supposedly sent
4) The subject line of the email (if possible)
On receipt of that information, we can check our server logs and confirm that the email was in fact received by our server.
Why am I receiving Outlook errors 0x800ccc0f and 0x800cc0d? These error messages may occur when Outlook 2000, Outlook 2002 or Office Outlook 2003 cannot establish a connection with your e-mail server. Another instance of this error may occur when you try to send or receive an e-mail message in Outlook 2002.
I have sent various emails but they appeared TO NOT have arrived at their destination
In this case, its possible that you may have fallen prey to our hijack protocol which temporarily holds emails on the server before sending them on.
We employ this measure primarily to protect ourselves against spammers trying to "hijack" or use our mail servers for their spamming operations. Its also a preventative measure against the possibility of being blacklisted if our mail servers send out spam.
If our servers are blacklisted, then when you try to send an email to another email address that employs spam filtering, then it will not get through.
Although, effective against blatant spammers, our hijack filters, do sometimes conflict with authentic users who tend to send "above the normal amount of email".
The hijack features are sometimes triggered by an authentic user sending a bcc or cc to a large number of destinations/email addresses or their "mailing list".
Unfortunately, we cannot publicly disclose the
rules we use for our hijack filter but it can be said that its very effective in preventing spam being sent from our servers even if it does on occasion affect normal users.
Please see below a diagram of how hijack filtering operates.
How can I retrieve emails that have been marked as spam? Please see below, two diagrams showing what "usually" happens to spam emails BEFORE we configure a special spam account on your mail server and what happens AFTER we configure a special spam email account on your mail server.
