The time of the year has arrived gain for me to proceed to Puertollano (in Spain) and spend Xmas time with my wifes parents and family. Its a nice affair dont get me wrong however leaving the office behind can be a bit of a problem especially when I need to work on clients files.
This brings me onto the the subject of my latest hardware purchase, the 250 GB LaCie Hard Drive, Design by F.A. Porsche I bought at FNAC for €150.
At first when opened the box, the unit was so light I actually thought that I was just suckered into buying a hard drive case, but on connecting it to my server, the little grey colored metal box started whirring away and very quickly I had moved 150 GB of files on to it. The Lacie Hard Drive connected no problems to Server 2003 and Vista so I gues it wont have any problems connecting to Windows XP.
The unit does not even need external power and will quite happily work off USB Power only and as you can see from the photo below is pretty small even next to my ipod.
I have to say I m delighted with this tiny piece of hardware!
