Content Management System

In an effort to simplify the updating of a website by novice users, 123 Marbella Web Design have developed a content management system. This system allows users with no web design or HTML experience to easily and simply modify contents of a website by using a web browser. The Content Management System provides end users with an easy, quick, affordable, and visual (WYSIWYG - What You See Is What You Get) way to edit a pre-defined web page content area through your browser at anytime. If required you can also to edit the actual HTML code.

The system allows us to specify an area in any one of your web pages where you can make WYWISYG changes to the page online - without changing the design or HTML.

This removes the possibility of you ever messing up the whole page!

Plus there's no complicated system to learn or code to write.

Requirements to use the online CMS Admin System

- Internet Explorer 5.0 + or Firefox 2 +
- Internet Connection preferably adsl but works well with dialup
- Minimum 800 x 600 Screen Resolution

Editing Content Pages
The HTML Editor used in our system has an interface very similar with Microsoft Word and is therefore quite simple to use. You can uplaod images, change text formats, even copy and past html code sirectly into the editor for the more advanced user.

Meta Tags and Search Engines
Our CMS system has even taken into consideration the complexities of meta tagging and search engine listings. You usually have to update your meta tags at least once a month and this function can now be done yourself using the online control panel. No need to wait for your webmaster or seo rep to do it for you.

1. How long does it take to integrate the cms system into my web site?
This depends on the amount of modules you require but in general it takes about 8 hours in total to install a Real Estate CMS. This is included in the set up fee.

2. Can I change pictures and text on my web site?
Yes. The online html editor allows you to edit text and manage your photos and you can do this anytime you like. Our unique publishing feature allows you to make chages and publish them later.

3. Do I have to use your hosting if I use the CMS?
If its a real estate CMS then yes, we would need to host the web site due to the amount of special scripts used to generate the static property pages and the relationship the property pages have with the SQL database. We need to have Root Access to the web site files and server and thats usually not possible on a server with another company. If the site is hosted on another server company, your site will be slow and sluggish due to remote connection and firewall restrictions on our server network.

If its a Basic CMS you are signed up for, then no, the web site can be hosted anywhere as the files do not require any database connections.

4. What does the monthly CMS fee include?
The monthly CMS fee includes:

1. A license granting you access and use of the CMS Control Panel to maintain the information on your web site.

2. Fast Track Technical Support - If there is a problem in the CMS we will attend to it immediately

3. Access to our web design prices at half the normal rate - any work/changes you need doing on your web site is charged at €25 per hour, a special rate for CMS Members.

5. If I have an idea for a feature in the CMS that does not already exist, can I make a request for it to be added?
Absolutely. We take on ideas almost everyday from different clients and add them to a CMS wishlist and when we find time to integrate the new idea, thats if we think its any good, then we do it, at no charge to the CMS client.

However, if a client has an idea and definetely wants that idea integrated as soon as possible, then we will raise a quote for that and the client will be charged for it at the reduced design rate of course.

6. When you add a new feature to the CMS Admin, does my web site get updated automatically with the new feature?
Unfortunately not. When we add a new function to the CMS and the CMS client wants the effect of that new feature to impact on their web site, then we will charge a fee to integrate that new feature in to their web site. We will charge €25 per hour for integration of new features.

7. If I want a button added to my web site, is this free?
No. Any changes that requires us to modify your web site in any way will be charged at the reduced rate of €25 per hour. To add a button usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes so we will charge per hour on a pro rata basis.
